Tunnelling Equipment Design
Exploded view video showing Entry Seal Plate used with tunnel boring machinery (TBM’s). It’s purpose is to seal the entry point of the tunnel bore hole & the outside face of the pipework / tunnel being installed. Here, a EPDM rubber seal is used along with adjustable keeper plates which can be adjusted on-site & allow for tolerances on pipe diameter etc.
